Questions
What does Takotsubo do?
We are a small studio in Riyadh. Five services: automation, websites and apps, design, servers and AI agents, and consulting and workshops. Most engagements combine two or three of them.
Who do you usually work with?
Businesses whose sale happens offline and whose site is there to be believed rather than to take payment. Three shapes recur: a company that has gone quiet and needs to come back, an established company whose presence no longer matches it, and a company that never had one and has no team to build it.
What do you mean by automation and AI integrations?
We connect the tools you already run on so the repetitive work carries itself. Quotations, proposals, contracts, follow-ups and lead handling are the usual ones. A worked example: an inquiry arrives, it becomes a record in your own system, and your team is told in the channel they already watch.
Is this just a chatbot? Someone told me anyone can set that up.
The chatbot part is the easy tenth of it. The rest is connecting it to the systems you already use, cleaning the data so it does not answer wrongly, deciding what it is allowed to do, and keeping it working when the tools change. That is the part we own.
What does branding include?
The whole system, not a logo on its own. Fonts, colours, logo, wordmark, palette and an asset pack, delivered as a file you own. We design the foundation first, so everything built on it holds.
Is 3D part of a website or its own thing?
Both. It usually sits inside web development, and we take it on its own when that is all the work is.
Can you build an online shop?
No. We do not build stores and we do not take on checkout or payments. Sign-in and magic links are fine. Anything that handles a transaction is outside what we do, and the honest reason is that we do not go deep into payment security.
How much does it cost?
Consulting has a set price: SAR 500 an hour, booked as a two hour session at SAR 1,000. Everything else is quoted against what the work actually is. Tell us the shape of it and we will come back with the figure.
How does payment work?
One payment per engagement, in two halves. Half to begin, half on delivery you are satisfied with. Consulting is paid upfront. No subscriptions and no retainers.
Is VAT added?
No VAT is charged. We are under the registration threshold and not ZATCA registered.
What does an engagement look like?
You write, we reply within a day. We agree the scope, then a quotation with a fixed scope and a fixed timeline in writing. We sign, the work is scheduled, and we build in focused passes with progress shared at each milestone. Then delivery, handover notes, and a month of support.
How many revisions do I get?
Three small edits are included: colour tweaks, font swaps, copy nudges, alternate variations. Bugs and our own mistakes never count toward them. Those are on us.
What happens after you deliver?
Handover with notes, then one month of support for bugs on our side. It does not cover change requests such as swapping a colour or a font. After that month there is no standing obligation unless we take on new work together.
Who owns the work?
You do. Full ownership of the final deliverables transfers to you on full payment. We may show the work in our portfolio.
Who will I be working with?
One person, directly. No account managers, no relays. One name on the work from hello to handover, so when something needs fixing you know exactly who fixes it.
How quickly will I hear back?
Within one working day, Riyadh time. A real person reads every brief.
Do you work in Arabic?
Yes. Arabic and English both.
Where are you based?
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
How do we start?
Tell us what you are building, who it is for, and roughly when you need it. That is enough for us to come back with questions or a quote.
